Primary Care Services
Nurse Practitioners are able to safely and efficienty manage primary care needs of Ontarians by following the most up to date and evidence base practices.
-Physical exam, chronic disease management (hypertension, diabetes, mental health), women's health ( pap, breast concerns, vaginal concerns, IUD removal), weight management (lifestyle and prescription management), age appropriate screening (colon cancer, bone density, cholesterol, mammogram).
Fees
FEE-FOR-SERVICE
Stay Well is a private fee-for-service business as Nurse Practitioners are not funded by Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) for our work. When working independently, there is a "fee-for-service" fee because nurse practitioners cannot bill OHIP for the work that he/she does. As a patient you are billed for the time and expertise of the nurse practitioner. By utilizing Stay Well you are actively participating in relieving the burden on our emergency departments and invaluable emergency nurses and physicians, as well as supporting a small business.
Please note all laboratory tests and diagnostics ordered by our nurse practitioners, are covered under Ontario Health Insurance Plan. You are billed for the services and time.
Base Fees
During your initial consult with the Nurse Practitioner it will be determined if you qualify for a virtual or in person appointment.
**Please note if your health concern is determined to require in person assessment, a virtual appointment can not be substituted. If your health concern is eligible for a virtual appointment and your preference is in person, this can be substituted based on schedule availability.
